Dr. Vo Ngoc Linh Giang

Dr. Giang has been a student at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh since 2005 and graduated in 2010 and had a master's degree in Traditional medicine in 2014. Dr. Giang earned a Doctorate in Plant science from Seoul National University, Korea in 2022.

Before pursuing a Ph.D., Dr. Giang worked at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh for five years and participated in the project Research on the production of semi-finished products (standardized extracts) and some preparations from Da Lat artichokes with cynarin and chlorogenic acid content that is equivalent to foreign preparations (Chophytol) circulating on the domestic market (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, 2016).

In 2017, Dr. Giang enrolled at Seoul National University as a doctoral student. Principal research directions:

  • Rapid multiplication of ginseng species using plant tissue culture
  • Development of molecular markers to classify ginseng species based on chloroplast and 45S ribosomal gene sequences
  • Investigation of gene function using the overexpression method and CRISPR Cas9

Dr. Giang is the author or co-author of ten works that have been published in international journals.
