Hyphenation of droplet microfluidics to microscale separation: from instrumental conception to bio-analytical applications for limited sample volumes
Time: Thursday, April 03, 2025 (13:55 - 14:20)
Venue:Assoc.Prof.Dr. Mai Thanh Duc
I am a lecturer in analytical chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy (University Paris Saclay, France) and have been carrying out my research at the Institute Galien Paris-Saclay (IGPS). My research activities mainly focus on the development of new analytical systems and methods based on microfluidics and electrokinetics for preconcentration, separation and detection of biomolecules (i.e., protein/peptide-based biomarkers, nucleic acids, glycans in complex biological matrices) and (bio)nano-entities (i.e., magnetic nanoparticles, nanorods, extracellular vesicles). I am also interested in designing new instruments of capillary electrophoresis (CE), microfluidics, magneto-immunoassays and lab-on-droplet for applications such as analysis of biomolecules, characterization of (bio)nano-entities, environmental analysis, quality control of pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and food.
