Prof.Dr. Tran Dai Lam was born in 1971, graduated from the Belarussian State University (Minsk, Belarus, former Soviet Union) in 1994, received PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Paris VII Denis Diderot (France) in 2003. He was conferred the title of Assoc. Professor of Chemistry in 2009, Full Professor of Chemistry in 2018.

Main research topics: Materials chemistry, Nanotechnology.

In the field of research, Prof.Dr. Tran Dai Lam is the PI of 02 State-level S&T projects, 08 ministerial-level projects and 03 NAFOSTED Foundation projects (finished). He has published over 150 articles in SCIE journals, being the corresponding author of 03 monographs; 05 patents. He has guided over 20 Ph.D. students to defend their Ph.D. thesis successfully. He was an invited lecturer of the University of Paris VII Denis Diderot (France) in 2005, 2009, 2010.

He is currently the Director of the Institute of Tropical Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST); Secretary of Chemistry - Food technology Section, Vietnam National Professorship Council; Vice - Prsedient of the Vietnam Association of Analytical Sciences (Physics, Chemistry and Biology); Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Science and Technology Journal (Scopus, VAST), Member of the Editorial Board of Nano Convergene (SCIE, Impact Factor 2021: 10, Springer), Member, representing Vietnam at the Executive Board of the Asian Nano Forum (ANF); Head of National Standards Technical Committee TCVN/TC 229 “Nanotechnology”, Member of the Council of Chemistry, NAFOSTED Foundation; Member of Vietnam National Committee of the KC.11/21-30 program “Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceuticals”.
